Not so worried about biological weapons, but more about their two satellites that pass over us several times a day which may contain emp type devices.

Bio weapons require specific timeframes, close windows of opportunity and quick rates of decay. An EMP on the other hand can sit around for years and then with the push of a button, it's lights out.

If we go to war with NK, I think you'll see us try to grab those satellites or knock them out. I think the US government knows more about those orbiting vehicles than they're letting on.

I'm not ready to dismiss bio weapons so easily. I can live without electricity. Handling a pandemic and staying healthy could be much more difficult.

I agree. On the other hand there are 200 reasons why the cities may die. So, don't be there.

An interesting historic link between North Korea, the US and biological weapons exists.

In the lead up to and during WWII, the Japanese did a lot of work on biological weapons and became the world leaders in that field.

That part of the Japanese military was known as Unit 731 and was based in what is now North Korea.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unit_731

Unit 731 developed and weaponized forms of Bubonic Plague and other pathogens and then proceeded to test these on Chinese civilians and then American POWs.

The latter tests were intended to identify the effectiveness of their bio agents upon American subjects.

The ultimate aim of the work was to conduct biological weapon attacks on the US mainland. The delivery systems they planned included their balloon bombs:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fire_balloon

and the I-400 aircraft carrying submarines:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I-400-class_submarine

After the war, and despite the war crimes he had committed (including dissecting US POWs while they were still alive), the head of Unit 731 (Shiro Iishi) was pardoned by the US and became a consultant in the establishment of the US bioweapons program.

Even though the facility was located in NK it seems that the US was the main beneficiary. Disturbing in the way it was handled.

As per the original article NK has been conducting their own research for quite some time. Unfortunately this type of sneakk attack could be conducted and never detected until it was full blown.

I sure hope so.

Then again, I do worry sometimes about a biological attack. Even a natural pandemic can create turmoil for the system. A weaponized agent could be real bad if it is drug resistant, more virulent, more persistent in the environment, or more easily spread.

When I watch The Walking Dead, I consider the walkers as just "infected" rather than "zombies". (I find zombies to be too stupid because the science doesn't work) Same thing would happen to society though. Those left would turn on each other, and the disease would still be lurking out there too...

chemical weapons have a proven track record

There is a difference...

Thankfully I don't live in a major US city...people that do have to worry about a lot of things, a chemical/biological weapon attack is but one of the many things they need to worry about...

I wouldn't lose too much sleep if they bombed say LA, NYC and San Francisco. The religion of peace sending a token of their love to the beautiful people who want to share the love. Liberal Karma

That whole part of the Japanese testing on live people was completely left out of the textbooks when I was in school. It was not to long ago that I read about it. I had to stop or throw up. Mankinds ability to do evil is beyond my comprehension. I actually believe I checked out a link from Zerohedge that was used to explain some of the hostility between China and Japan. Talk sbout a rabbit hole!

Then, if you care to, check out some of the testing the gov. has done on US citizens. Through the years I have found mostly little blurbs about a test done in a subway here, radioactive fallout there, and so on. I started to resesrch it one day and had to leave it.

I work in a building with a large number of people. Every year I see evidence of how quickly illness spreads. Considering there is actual decades of research into HOW to weaponize and spread illness, I believe employing a biological agent is a very real and credible threat.

Further, it does not have to be directed at people. An animal diesease takes resources to combat. We had the porcine illness a few years ago that was eventually contained but would a weaponized version have been contained?

I often wonder about Lyme disease. Test run? I dunno.
