The hike is about a big loop about 5 - 7 miles long. The path is very clear and well maintained. The hiking trail runs along a small fast moving stream. In a few places the trail crosses the stream, the park has put foot bridges in place.
Horses are allowed on the trail, but only about 1/2 way.
My wife and I saw a moose grazing in a grassy pond.
Some of the trail is very steep, but only for a short distance. From the trail head, 2 miles in there is a large cedar grove, then the trail goes up to a look out point with a nice view. Due to time limitations, my wife and I were not able to make it to the top of the mountain.
