Bow drill or Bow cordage?

The toughest and longest lasting cord I found for this chainsaw pull cord you can get it by the foot at most hardware stores. I carry a two four foot pieces for my self bows and a 24" piece for my bow drill.

Whats your preference?

Paracord, but any cord you use must be strong, synthetic is preferable because it grips but not tooo tightly, I find natural cordage (Manilla, jute) grip too much and wear out faster. It must grip but not too tightly or the spindle won't rotate. And most importantly it must be a static rope, meaning not stretchy, otherwise the bow won't bend and the string won't tighten right.
