i cant see bpaying that price for that jacket. i go all out on items like a backpack, and knife. but for 597 i can get a top quality anorac (which will be alot stronger) and spend the rest on insulating layers

i just bought one.. just kidding. that is way to high for me, if it was 200.00 maybe, but not for me. sorry. make my own as mentioned by Phoenixdadeadhead. i'll pass, i'd rather spend my money on food and storage, and other essentials than on that, i got gortex. and other military gear. and i live int he deep south. not that cold here

You are right, I didn't look at the jacket. But I didn't say 'buy this' either ![]() |

I always thought that jacket Adam wore on Mythbusters was some sort of firemans coat.

Mall-ninja for sure.
Rib pads are pretty useless, back pads are better (covers more area, less spacing) pockets are few. Better go with a SCOTT jacket if you can aford it or de-thread the sleeves of a black or tan BDU shirt, use it for a vest and put a thrift store coat over it that has at least two large pockets in the front and one inside. Make your own padded H2H vest if you want out of closed cell sleeping pad foam for a lot cheaper. Your money is better spent on food and Carhartts. |

I have a Mark I in black and a liner. Yes they are pricey. They are also indestructible and very well-made in the USA. It is standard issue for the 504th Sidewalk Commando brigade.
