Blaze King Wood Stoves

Thinking about upgrading to a Blaze King wood stove, either the Princess or King catalytic model. Anyone have any experience with these stoves? Everything I've heard has been good, i.e. efficiency, burn times, heating aspects, etc. Just wondering if anyone has one in their home, or has had one in the past, you experiences, etc.

How long did it take to recoup the costs involved, based on cost of wood vs. a boiler system with heating fuel. I've got 14 acres, so wood won't be a problem.

Also, additional expense for homeowners insurance, professional vs. do-it-yourself installations. Thanks in advance for any responses.

I couldn't justify spending that much more on a Blaze King stove. My Englander was much less than a comparable Blaze King and I couldn't be happier with it.

Mad Dog: Why not go with a VOGELZANG model from Harbor Freight. They are the cheapest wood stoves worth buying IMHO...

How much was the Englander, and what kind of burn times are you getting. I've prices out the Princess at $2,399, and the King is $2,799, plus the installation. I'm hearing that some insurance companies won't cover the house if it burns down, and you've installed it yourself.

Any problems in that area?

I'm not so much worried about cheap, sometimes you get what you pay for. What kind of burn times are you getting with a full load, and moderate heat. I usually keep the thermostat on 63*, so I'm expecting longer burn times than someone who keeps the heat at 70*.
