I could’ve lived with his barefoot mystical bush hippy talk. In fact, I found it amusing how he joked about converting
Dave. Damn. But Cody F’d up. He took a mole hill and turned it into a mountain and lost a friend in the process and
for what; To elevate himself in the eyes of the “community”. Not only that, Cody lost a lot of fans behind that.

I never liked the Discovery series. It was just a new spin on an old survival receipt that you can find dozens of shows built around.

I found mr. Cantebury on youtube and stuck with him there. I like his take on searching the past to prepare for the future, his common man approach that makes bushcrafting accessible for everyone and his focus on reviving old skills. I have found no other channel out there that focus on the whole like mr. Canteburys channel.

Also I am impressed with the community that he has been able to build over theyears,with members from 4 continents coming together to enjoy REALcommunity around something that isn't entirely consumer based, but touch somewhere deep into our psyche as people. Mr. Cantebury has revived the boy scout in us all and made important and life saving skills fun again!

After reading through all the replies I was in the dilemma of, Do I flog this dead horse or not? Especially as it's only my second post.
Some good points brought up, some witty points brought up, Lots of people standing on pedestal and being evasive when someone knocks them off it.
Have I ever lied? hell yeh!
Have I ever lied on a CV or in a job interview? Nah I'm a crappy liar.
Have I lied to get a woman into bed? Yup
Have I ever been dropped in the S**t by someone else's lie? I step outside my front door once in a while, of course I have.

My usual response to these kinds of threads is "meh whatever!"
But as I've enjoyed DC's youtube vids, Why not speak up for the man.
Did I know he'd elaborated on his CV? Not before reading this thread.
Will it stop me from using his knowledge (amonge others) to advance myself in this area? No friking way. But It has made me unsubscribe from his former workmates channel.
And if I could drop Discovery from my TV package without loosing other channels I would.

So in short, DC thanks for the entertainment you supplied on the TV and keep up the sterling work on YouTube where you share and pass on the wealth of knowledge.

I just watched Dave's 2nd apology for the first time on you tube. (Up to now I never felt he had anything to apologise for so never bothered watching).

I'm almost embarrassed for him, having to stoop so freakin low, because of a bunch of losers out there, who feel he owes them something.

Dave should have said 'get a life you losers', not 'forgive me'.

Dave has my respect for steppin up. Since I am close to Ohio, would like to take a short course of "Basics" and return some of my support. His you tube stuff is great, and he speaks well to be understood. Good going Dave, you da man.
