SKS is a real true battle weapon. They operate just as true and solid as anything else you could even use. I have put down a few hogs with one of mine. The other, I just clean the cosmoline out of. Don't plan on selling either of these.

I completely agree with you but who know when we will see prices again at $250 for an SKS. It might not happen for years depending on what finally gets passed into law. The last ban lasted 10 years. This administration is bent on changing the laws. It was obvious during the fast and furious scheme after their discovery they had to change tactics. Who know what else they have done to sway public opinion their way. It is obvious they have powerful allies that control the media.

AK's are going to be $2k here in a week or so if you can even get them on the secondary market. Heck their mags are already selling for $35+

Up here I have never seen an SKS go for more than $225-$230. Ammo for them is super cheap as well.

I put some rear-set footpegs on it, and dirt track Storz pipes,

worked ok for going into NYC to party.

I have a chinese SKS on a local gun ad board looking to trade toward certain lever guns or handguns. Most of the SKS's on there are priced at 400+. If nobody will trade me I can thing of a lot worse guns to own if I have to keep it.

I'd love to get another one. Took mine out today and had an absolute blast. Best $250 I've ever spent aside from my Marlin 30AS that I also scored for $250.

I saw a lot of SKS's at the recent gun show for 450 - 500 bucks. None of them were selling, just sitting there on tables, in racks or on peoples' shoulders with price tags on them.

There are a lot of SKS's in the online ads locally for 600 avg. Some sold early-on after Sandy Hook, but none lately. Doesn't seem to be a lot of people who think they're worth the money.

At the very least, they don't recognize the value of an SKS as an effective weapon. Too much in love with the notion of a detatchable hi-cap mag I guess.

last week the local gun shop had a case of old beat up chiniese SKSs for $199 each if I hadn't bought a deer rifle the day before I would have jumped on it especialy if people are dumb enough to pay $1000 for a SKS.
