Drones for post SHTF Security

Securing your own individual residence vs neighbor's on others who live nearby would be two absolutely different factors. Also, I do see this technological innovation as possibly a a great tool for the prepper. I believe our govt does have the right concept of brilliance through technological innovation.

Here's a thought, why can't DHS spy on you with your own drone? All they have to do is watch what you're doing through your own connection. Right?

Well... RC planes/helis have been around for quite some time. I used to sell these kits when I was in HS. And even the model rockets could be outfitted with a small camera...

yes, you have to know what you're doing and watch your fingers while starting up...
fuel might be a problem; I know we used to sell something that was a mix of high test & nitro...
But the ability to scout real-time with something like this - as long as it wasn't observed and shot down (which is still info, right?) - makes me think this is an interesting tool...

these drones do NOT work over the internet, but wifi, meaning unless the popo is already across the road doing surveillance on you - they wont get the signal.
