Hey!

My head isn't that big..........

Winter has finally hit here, been going WFO since Sunday night, with no indication of it letting up any time soon. Got 25 hours by noon Tuesday and am going back in tonight in about an hour to get a couple of burned up transmissions replaced.

Ahh, it's harvest time for the snow farmers, and pennies be falling from the skies, 7-12 inches expected tomorrow.

I'll get back to this and "Unprepared" when it calms down a bit. Thanks to everyone for reading, and if I am missing from Survivalistboards for a while, don't be surprised!

Default Thank you.

Best story I have read in a long time. I grew up in Washington, and Canoed from Centrailia to the Pacific on the Green river. Great fun and adventure as a young man in college.
Keep your senses sharp and your weapon clean, loaded and ready. God bless.

Keep up the great work Sweeper, snow farming can be rough and mother nature doesn't give any breaks or warnings. I have been doing this for 29 years now and worked a couple of double shifts during my recent busy period. It was just too cold for the snow to pile up real big after the wet mush storms.

We now have a reprieve from the biggest December precip. in over 44 years in our area but it is COOOLD. We have been hitting low single digits to negatives every noght for some time now. Just a short ways up Hwy. 395 we had the cooldest temps in the nation @ 20 below two nights ago.

Hi Sweeper,
Just discovered you & I think you are great!!!!! I have really had a good time reading your story. I like it that you have gone years after TSHF to tell us what life could be like. There will be nice people helping each other out & the mean ones who try to take the nice guys stuff. It is quite an interesting family you created & the "inlaws" was a nice addition. I like how you reminded us that a trip before would only take minutes and now it is a long days walk or ride on horseback. I hope it never comes to this....but....you never know???
Thanks for sharing your talent with us and keeping us entertained. Now I will wait for you to come back & add more to this story.
