Try The Mako Group---selling metal 30 round magazines for $18.70 plus shipping. Made by some company in Israel who has been in business for 50 years. Just bought 5 to try them out. Also just bought 5 locally (different manufactuer) locally for $15 each.

picked up a few today from a local guy @ 45$ ea. in mint condition, looking for a few more! Ive been buying up ammo like a nut too so this month i am def over budget

If he's from NY then he's looking for true pre-bans from before Clinton signed the bill in 1994.

It's a state law thing that only grandfathers those made before the ban. Not these made later after the federal ban expired. NY's law remained in force the whole time. That means magpuls, c-prod, or any of the others you have a hard time finding now are out.

He needs 30 round mags made in 1993 or earlier. And yes, there are ways to tell because almost all of them are USGI and serialized.

Though you really only need the serialized bottom plates as the rest is considered wear and replacement parts.

There's a private seller with cases of those things at every KCI show. I've bought some mausers off him. Good guy. If you're in the area, he's always there and on the last aisle.

I'd be careful. I saw the new legislation that NY is preparing and it looks like anything more than 10 rounds will be illegal. Including pre-1994 magazines.

I've got 4 30's and 4 20's that I might be getting rid of. Or they may just "disappear"

a company had them? companies almost never have pre-94 mags for sale. it is usually smaller dealers and individuals that have those older mags,

Jturbo86 - possession of large capacity mags in NY is a difficult legal concept. You might want to google NYS Penal Law regarding this and decide for yourself. You'll see, though, that outfits like Cabelas and Cheaper Than Dirt won't mail them to NYS. Also, understand, that it may be legal to sell them in NYS but illegal to possess. Figure that one out. Also, the pre-ban concept may be something difficult for the possessor to prove, and may be also difficult for a county DA to prove if an arrest is made. Bottom line: do what you have to do, but do some personal research to protect yourself.
