If it's agianst the law wood heat ect and i want it installed. I just do it and keep my mouth shut... Don't know what your talking about no you can't come into my house do you have a warrent no then come back with one...

Then if you get caught then you play stubid. It was always like this I had joe or someone come fix my house after the flood I'm not sure what he did he did something with the pipes.

The one estimate I got for FEMA - for the house heating was for a Bryant #310AAV/310JAV

But after looking at the estimate again ------ I think when the time ( check ) comes --- I might get a unit from Homey Despot - install it myself - contract a tin-knocker for the ducting - then have one of my plumber buddy's to make sure I didnt make any major screw-ups and sign off on the C/O

If the "tin knocker" is working with in the system he might not touch the job unless a licensed plumber was doing the piping/electrical work.

Often if a licensed worker "touches" part of a project, he can be held accountable for the whole project.

Today's observation

When the "Do Gooders" ( Church Groups - Red Cross - FEMA - Foundation Savers - Church-of-Whats-Happen-in-Now - County run organisation's and alike ) of the world come down my street from the main road - their front facing my Jeeps parked on the left side --- most of the time they rove in pairs - one on the west side - one on my side

Sometimes they knock - sometimes they just leave that piece of paper that blows on the lawn

"No problem" - their eather trying to help or gain converts

My house ( in my opinion ) doesn't look any better ( that will be the day ) or worse than the others

What I noticed more than once ----

If they come up from the south end ---- they stop ---- look at the back of the Jeeps ---- look at the house --- look at the Jeeps --- look at the house -------- and just walk by

If they are in pairs -- they look ---- talk for a few minutes --- look --- talk --- look ---- then keep on walking

Its not as if my azz is hanging out the window -- any more

I'd like to think I'm a kinda nice guy --- I've been helping my neighbor's -- I help old ladies across the street -- I buy Girl Scout cookies if they gots mint --- I don't hose the Jehovah Witnesses - if someone comes down the block walking their dog or pet rat on a rope I always say hello to it a make nice-nice

I'm begining to think -- their helping is kinda a pick and chose thing

The Jeeps are a little dirty -- I should wash them ?

One of the many things that just annoyed the hell out of me was -- no gas - the longest line I measured was just about 3 miles long -- then odd / even rationing

And yet while I'm on a gas line - across the street are land "scrapers" - cutting / blowing and "weed-a-whacking"

Yea - Yea - Yea --- every body's gotta work and eat - send money home ----- but it just bothers

Another thing ----

A day or two after Sandy -- I passed Pinelawn National Cemetery -- the crews were hard at work with clean up

Again -- I get it -- make the grounds look nice ---- from the main road -- appearance's and priorities

I would think they would have some if not all of the crews -- working in the neighbourhood's with some clean-up first ---- but that's just the way I feel

I passed there again this morning - and thought I'd say Hello to my father

What I found just in side turned my stomach













This one was just pushed into the ground

I heard on the national noise this morning that FEMA has gotten more money
for the Sandy Relief Fund Or some such thing.

Buried deep in the bowels of the announcement was the statement that the
deal was that FEMA would now be able to **BORROW** the money to keep
the fund going - I take it because the (nonexistent) Debt Limit got raised
again, Or Something?

Which means... what? We're borrowing it from the Chinese again?

SO! That means... Inquiring minds want to know...

Let me tell you, those Chinese have got THIS fingered out but GOOD.

From what I could determine FEMA borrowed the money from the federal govt. That begs the question, "What exactly would FEMA do to earn money to repay the debt?" It's not like they've got an income stream or anything. It reminds me of when my son asks to "borrow $10." Like I'll see that money again. So the fed. govt. borrowed the money from the Chinese, then loaned it to FEMA. Or did they loan FEMA some of the funny money they're printing to buy back our long term debt in QE3 or 4 or where ever we're at now. Either way it makes you hope somebody at least got kissed...

Ricekila, I'm sorry about the cemetery. That is such a sad thing to see happen. Most of the ones around here have zero trees because of that very problem with hurricanes.

Someday when your house is warm, your water is hot, and you've replaced all the TP that turned into cantaloupe sized spitwads, you'll look back on this and laugh. Maybe. Ehh, probably not. I did learn from your experience though. 1)be glad we moved well away from the water. 2) all our TP is now stored in waterproof storage containers. Thanks.
