For those of us who enjoyed Lights Out by David Crawford I noticed that he is coming out with a new novel in November. I have attached the link below.

I'm going to pre order a copy but I would really like to see the plot. I've searched everyone and no one seems to know what it's about.

IF this is the same story posted on ARF and it appears to be so judging by the cover, here goes..

Two stories..

SHTF - Guy bugs out of San Antonio on his quad and trailer combo by backroads, railways and fire trails as he tries to get to his BOL. Along the way his morals go from dubious to MIA.

The other story (if I remember) features a small town, a recluse, his girlfriend, a kid and their paths crossing with the quad rider.

Anyone else is free to correct me and my feelings won't be hurt.

You hit the nail on the head. It was originally titled lost and found. I think the ****head on the quad was named DJ and was traveling to a Bol that he had been kicked out of in the past. When he forced himself on the mom i was kind of glad he stopped posting chapters.

I think Halffast was banned shortly thereafter because of some conflict with the mods.

Edit, never mind. Got my answer and not sure I'd buy his book if the character is raping people

He didn't rape her but made her so dependent on his help that she had no choice but to have sex with him or he was going to abandon her.

I was just re reading Lights Out and it is still a hard read for me. His writing style tends to not hold onto to my attention for some reason. Maybe I am just getting too old. GB

I pre-orded months ago. Was all excited because I thought it would be arriving here in early Sept. Two more months. :<

I read what was posted as Lost & Found and liked the story. Can't wait to find out what happens.

Just finished reading it. Not really engaging for me. The character of DJ held ZERO interest for me. I can see where he was attempting to show how people can degrade into brutality, but IMO it just "didn't work".

Vastly opposite from Lights Out and much worse. Will put this latest book in my prep storage for emergency TP.

Since I enjoyed Lights Out so much I have added Collision Course to my reading list. I'll post a review when I finish it.

I can stomach grimtooth doings, but not when it tries justifying them like that.

Don't get all hot and bothered. He was not trying to justify this guys actions. On the contrary, the author was showing the gradual change of this anti-hero from borderline kook into a true dirtbag. I assume that he will eventualy cross paths with the books real heros and meet an appropriate end!!

Just finished the book, liked it alot..not going to spoil it, but worth reading...yes, it is a little dark, but not too bad....Quite realisitic i think based on the scenerio...

well written, flowed easily,good character development and nice twist at the end...

I also believe he left the door open for a sequel.....

+1 just finished it... Wouldn't recommend it like I would lights out.

Got my shipping notice on the 6th. Checked it yesterday and it shows est delivery date of the 19th. 13 days to ship a book...awesome! Guess I won't be reading it until the beginning of next week!
