In Pennsylvania the large metropolitan areas voted for obama with some precints giving him 99%+ while the rest of the state voted romney . To color all of Pennsylvania as unified for obama is a mistake ,I'm guessing the same goes for other states .

I think he is implying that the states that want a small federal government and a government that abides by the constitution has not changed in a very long time. He is pointing out that there are still true patriots left in this country always has been and always will be.

And what does how people voted in the 2012 election have to do with slavery and segregation? Care to look at past election maps? If you do, you will notice that "the South" did not start to go republican really until the 70s. Wasn't it the Rs that stopped slavery? And segregation didn't end until the Rs took over. So from your maps I see that slavery and segregation are taking hold in the obama states. I'm not a Republican, but looks like you may be telling me I need to become one.

The fact is that there were a lot of states where the vote was split. Many of the gains in the Senate were from states that voted for Romney but split their ticket and voted for a Democrat for the Senate. That was true here in Indiana.

I hate how they always color the ENTIRE state. It's just more media manipulation. They should just stick to showing the actual counties...or even cities/towns. Then you get this:

Obama lost Washington County where I live 20 mins south of Pittsburgh. I am embarrassed to live in PA. Think I will move to WV. Beautiful state.

It's like in Illinois... There are 16 million voters in whole state. Trouble is that the 32 million votes from Chicago create a lot of confusion. There are over 100 counties in Illinois and only two, Lake and Crook...er.. Cook actually went to Obama but the state gets painted blue. Downstate Illinois residents are proud to point out that our state has sent 5 former governors to federal prison for corruption and basically that we have our own wing in a federal prison for our governors. Like we say downstate: "Democrats are good for 2 terms. One term in elected office and one in prison."
