I am writing from North Eastern PA, but not a native to the region.
Been a firearms and safety instructor for a few years, but been
a student of both and of disaster preparedness and the outdoors for longer.
Served as a risk analyst, planner and manager before becoming a sworn LEO.

Not really a prepper per se, but pretty well prepared (good deep canned pantry and water, generator, food/water/outdoor gear and propane heaters and cookers in vehicles during winter and at home. If you are country and poor and used to weather and budget issues, you plan for the worst and when good times come you set aside food. It ain't paranoid prepping to set aside for tougher times if you have had to go from ribeye most days to ramen or kraft mac for most days cause of a storm or a layoff. I haven't ever had the money for a shelter and probably never will have the money to even think about it so we prepare for what we can afford to and can expect to face... storms, layoffs, shortages, price gouging, etc.

How do you train Nepas?

I can never get the little bastards to stand still long enough.

Howdy,

Welcome to the forum.

Things to ponder follow:

Have a BOL? (If needed)

Self-sufficient? Garden? Have garden tools?

Heat with renewable fuels? Have firewood cutting tools?

Own a rifle? Reload? Cast bullets? Hunt? Fish?

Homebrewing? Can food?

Practice permaculture? Gather wild foods?
