Nothing new, I learned a few discomforting things while gaining various certifications, such as:

Yeah Boston subway was crazy. I had a homeless woman come up to me and ask if I was looking for the land of misfit toys. lols. I personally think they could use something else besides a "dead" bacteria for testing.

Old news. The government has been experimenting like this for decades. But it's usually done on unsuspecting military members.
The LSD-as-truth-serum deal was particulary bad, many of the soldiers, not knowing what was going on, went insane or commited suicide.
Then, of course, was Project 112/Project SHAD in the 1960's, which any US Navy vets here better research for their own good - you may have been a guinea pig.

Something that worries me....
As an EMT I try to expand my medical knowledge, and read journals on medical break throughs, as well as medical science, etc. One of the articles I came across was a study on the die effects of the anthrax vaccine. Many troops who received the vaccine are developing long term problems, including debilitating rheumatoid arthritis. Others are experiencing systems that resemble gulf war syndrome. In all truth the drug wasn't very well tested prior to its use, and there is still much debate on how well it actually combats anthrax.
