How to add pictures to your post

1) I press 'go advanced'.
2) I press the paper clip.
3) the box opens. I hit 'browse' and select the pic.
4) I hit 'upload image'
5) every time I get 'upload failed'.
? could this be a cookies thing?

Trying to post a few pictures get-"Upload of file failed"--Following instructions to the "T",browse to file- right kind of file,well under the file size,pixels,file type etc. allowed -still get upload of file failed?? using XP, .jpg files about 100kb, 640x280dpi.- Help!

I wish I knew. I'm having the problem myself. I haven't been one to post many pics in the past. But I never had any problems when I did. It must be random, because I still see a lot of people successfully posting them.

I gave up on file upload and just posted pics on my website(or like photobucket) and did the link thing. You may have to have a paid membership to use "upload file" tool,although I can't find that stated anywhere.

I just link from Photobucket. Never could upload directly.

How? I don't understand. I have certain pictures that have been linked to my acct there for years with no issues.

I really don't know anout photobucket but I think it's free if you don't care if the photos expire. (?)

The account is free and I have never had anything expire in 6 years or so.

I guess that's "can't " upload a thing. I still can't, tried a bunch of stuff. Had to go through the laboriuos(for me) web site/download/link to process. I have some cool pics to upload but just putting it off......

Doesn't work for me either.

I always get "upload picture failed", no matter if IE or firefox, no matter if upload from URL or hard disc, no matter the size of the jpg picture.

Any ideas?

I have been trying to upload pics of my BOB, to a thread regarding bug out bags and supplies. My pictures are under 800 pixels, they are sized at 800 by 600, and are less then 250K in picture size...I believe those are the specifications to upload a photo, yet I keep getting an upload error message. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but in the past I never had a problem uploading pics.

ditto for me. used to be able to upload pictures. havnt been able to for a while. all my pics are jpg and within parameters. keep getting upload failed. what am i doing wrong?

You can upload photos to your personal profile, and if you click on the picture it enlarges, then Copy the Url.

Open up another window, and go to the post that you want to add the photo's to, click on the little yellow square that says "insert image" paste your url address there (make sure that it doesn't have http twice). click go advanced and your image should be visible.

To shot that this works here is a picture


Its kinda a hassle especially if you have a bunch of photos, but just keep one window open to your photo gallery, and another window open to where you want to post your pics.
