I am so glad to see a thread about this here. I had read about it at another website I go to, also (ATS). Between this and their 'easier for illegals' accounts I'm sure they will do just fine, but it will be without my family's account! Unbelievable!

Snopes reports that this is undetermined.
Moreover, they quote BoA claiming to have financed bond releases by The Freedom Group, Inc., which manufactures guns and ammunition. Here is the link: http://www.snopes.com/politics/guns/bankofamerica.asp |

Bad bank does bad things to its customers, screwing them over.
People leave bad bank. Bad bank starts to fail. US Government bails out bad bank. Bad bank does bad things to its customers, screwing them over. Hurm. I sense a pattern. We need to open a bank. Seems like a way to just bend everyone over, take their money and laugh (all the way to the bank?). And this is why you need to let the market do its thing and not bail people out. Bad business practices should be the undoing of a business. Too big to fail my foot. |

I was checking my normal morning sites and ran into this article. I shows the direction of our country and financial groups.

I dont think they can afford to lose many more customers. B.O.A must be suicidal.
Interesting, Thanks!

This is somewhat old news now but still an important issue. Bank of unAmerica denies this and has issued a statement in regard to this issue.
BofA statement: “We want to let you know that we hear your comments and questions regarding one of our customers. While we cannot discuss the details of any individual client we work with, we can assure you the allegations being made here are completely false. Bank of America does not have a policy that prohibits us from banking clients in this industry. In fact, we have numerous, longstanding customers in the industry. We are also extremely proud of our support of the US military and reject any assertion to the contrary. We count as clients many companies that provide for our nation’s defense. We employ thousands of veterans, Guardsmen, and Reservists, and plan to increase our hiring this year.” I talked to Mike Mcmillan and he stands behind what Kelly says 100%. I have to side with Mcmillan and would suggest that anyone that thinks differently take into consideration the following. If what Mcmillan says was false and did not occur I'm sure BofA would have their huge legal team all over McMillan with cease and desist orders and threats of suit for slander and defamation. Another thing to consider is that Bass Pro Shops Visa is a Bank of unAmerica card. I will no longer shop at BPS! |

I had to deposit my rent the other day - unfortunately they use BofA - the woman manager asked where I banked, I told her, and she was trying to get me to change. I told her about McMillan and told her it'd be a cold day in hell when I let BofA handle my money as a result, which was a shame since I had considered using them. (A white lie designed to make her feel especially bad about it.) She was a bit taken aback.

I pulled out several thousand dollars from BOA & sent them a scathing E-mail about it. Several other S.B. members here on this thread have also closed accounts. Who knows how many members of various gun forums have also pulled their money from BOA? If anyone has anything to gain by LYING about this story, I'd say it was Bank of Anti-America. |

I did a refi with TD bank a few weeks ago and moved my helo and checking from BoA. The bail out money, checking account feed, and now this should be enough for anyone to leave.

Moved our business account years back because that bank can get kinda stupid at times. Bottom line is they don't care all that much about their customers because they are a huge bank.

Its not. But as usual they get away with it.
Bank of America: Big enough to give the little guy a good screwing, and small enough to smile while doing it.
