Hudson River Fishing

Striper season is in full swing on The Hudson River in Upstate NY.The wind is blowing the tin boat like the USS Minnow this weekend kick my butt. My son and I was productive caught the Herrin and boated four for the frypan. World class fish in our back yard it don't get no better

My wife is from Pery NY., right at the bottom of the Adirondacks!!!..before I met her(in person, as we met on the net 13 years ago), I asked around about fishing up there..Too bad I didnt have a boat! The Hudson sounded great for Stripers and that what I fish for! The guy told me cats were good, but the bigger fish were not safe to eat..I think he said they had mercury in them.

My brother & nephews have been fishing the Hudson River every weekend for the past month..they love it!

Well, PCB's... The Hudson was dredged, not to mention the mass quantities of waste that's poured directly into it (I have family in waste water management).

People around here should know enough not to eat the fish from the Hudson (OP lol)

I caught a few stripers when I lived in CT on sandworms. Evil looking things (the worms that is).

I will be bow fishing for carp on the hudson this weekend hopefully. I go out of Newburgh.

I fish the hudson here in NYC.
The piers are 6 blocks from my apartment!
I have not had a chance to go out there this year - maybe this weekend!
