No, he was comparing WBC to our military and claiming our military is more distasteful than them.

He was saying very bad things about our own military.

Hence, why I dubbed him as a liberal.

One thing that is consistently evident, some folks live through the internet and since their life is so boring they must anger others to relieve their own internal anger is about all I have ever been able to develop regarding trolls.

Many of the groups I was involved with were hacking related and provided a great deal of learning opportunities. Much of what was discussed was illegal behavior and yes, some folks got busted, some got fined, some did jail time.

The operational set up to the best of our consensus, they simply watched until they had sound evidence of illegal behavior and then subpoenaed the server owner for all records.
That's my exact background with the internet also (throw phreaking and pyrotechnics in there too) and my thoughts on the trolls.

I agree about them passively monitoring. We like to think we're some big threat, but we're not. We're small fish. If they were going to expend manpower, it would be on militia, bomb making, white supremacy, anti-government, and terrorist type forums. There are many places out there where MUCH stronger things are discussed than a bunch of folks talking about food storage and legal weapons ownership.

Face it folks, we're not worth their time. Your year supply of food isn't even a day's supply to the people in your own neighborhood. So it's statistically useless data for them to be interested in. Worry more about your neighbor finding out about it.

As I sat here and read this thread I had an almost overwhelming urge to compile a list of "suspect, trigger" words and phrases and post it in as many different forums as possible. And then see if I could generate some of those chain letters that clog up my email.

No substance to it, no sentences or meaning but enough emotive words to flick the switch, and then sit back and see ...

I have resisted this childish instinct but I keep hearing a small voice giggling in my ear...
Bomb, C4, No!! it is just too silly and they wouldn't notice.... would they?

Not necessarily. Most of the tracking is automated by systems that filter traffic against a list of keywords. If there's enough keyword hits, I'm sure an employee scans it to get a feel for the types of discussions going on. But think of how few keyword hits this site would generate compared to hundreds of thousands of other sites.

For example any gun related website or chat group and there are many. Or how about the fireworks hobbiest sites? Those places are chock full of references to explosives, chemicals, booster charges, detonation methods, bursting charges, etc. Or even sites where professional demolition engineers discuss explosives. Then throw in all the sites that they would be more likely to track such as anti government chat groups. There are a bunch of them too. Plus all the actual terrorists oriented sites in other countries. We're very small fish.

Last but not least. Consider what a small percentage we are and how unorganized we are. We're not worth the trouble.

There's a poster/member (who's avatar is a white rapper that thinks he's black...yet I will not name him) here who has me thinking. He was posting in a thread about Glen Beck. Warnings of Soros were among the topics of discussion. This member cuts so far against the grain of this forum that he could only be here for two reasons: First, mindless entertainment on his part. Trolls are such people. Second, he's here for a reason.

Could the mindset of this community be strong enough to get attention? Could people in power who wish to change this country be watching people like us? After all, if a far left agenda were to form (and I mean far to the left of "liberal") wouldn't the members here be the type to be the biggest problem?

Maybe I'm just being a bit paranoid.
Dont kid yourself man. There are people who think we should scrap it all right now. Throw in the towel and join the world order. One big happy family with free health coverage, government housing and food for everyone. They dont have to be spies to have those beliefs. Its not just this current administration that thinks socialism is a good thing. We have been fighting this battle since the first congress. Freedom spawns enemies everywhere it pops up. For every free man there is one who wants to see him in chains. Spies? Why would the government waste time planting spies when they have enough volunteers to do it for free???? If want to see some real numbers to back my post on this just google Political Crossfire forums and go there to debate. You will find yourself outnumbered by leftist Socialist Children who think that a one world government is the only way to solve the worlds problems. There are so many of them because we have allowed socialists to infiltrate our schools and universities. They are teaching your kids today that their parents were wrong. Wrong to disipline, wrong to have their own opinions, wrong to speak out, wrong to strive for greatness. They have been taught to be worker bees in a collective. All for the greater good, politically correct, not to offend anyone, etc etc etc . Nope no spies just people from other side who think you are wrong. Kingfish

If there were Federal agents on here they would be asking questions like what firearms do you have, and where do you keep them, and what food do you keep, and where do you store it and so forth, and where do you live and what kind of work do you do, etc etc ..............................

Of course there are Federal agents who patrol web boards like this.

I'd would say you're being watched like a few others say, watch what you type and you should be fine, at least from arrest. Because of what you say you may be watched more intently, have your ip address tracked and then monitored even more. On this site I would say that the NSA, Homeland Security and the ATF would be the most interested. The government is so paranoid now I'm sure they created even more ridiculous organizations that only look inward on our country. IMO you're always being watched.

I will have to echo this statement. I'd be more paranoid about those with too much info. on their profiles than too little.
