Default Some of my favorite garden tools!

I’m not sure how much your favorite garden tools have been talked about here. But after years and years of trying garden tools…some hating for than others. As, I get older I seem to be going back to more manual gardening than my tractor…maybe it is more peaceful?

Here are 3 manufactures that I really like their products. I have others, but will only put these done this post

1. Easy digging tools. I think that I have 6 different ones now. The biggest selling point for me was the LONGER handles…I hate short handles…my back!! The owner was a great help for me and he had great service. Those wood handles are beefy http://www.easydigging.com/

2. Prohoe: I have about 3 of the hoes and they are built to last. I love it that they take old ag disc blades to make the hoe. All of mine are fiberglass and they have the longer handle http://web.inetba.com/prohoe/

3. Red Pig: Now these guys are real tanks and he makes them to last and last! If you order any, you might have to wait because there was a line and he might have to manufacture it

All of these are made in the USA, I was getting tired of all of those seasonal garden tools. Plus, I really work those tools when I get them.

The grub hoe from easy digging looks like something I need. Looks very useful when digging my raised beds, particularly putting a new one in.

Thank you OP. Nice thread idea.

My favorite garden tool is the Gooseneck Hoe for getting in and around vegetable crops in a family-size garden. The photo is further down the page.

I like using this long-handled Dandelion Weeder for other pesky weeds. I don't have dandelions.

I have been looking at the weed twister. This one would not replace the Dandelion Weeder because I also use the Dandelion Weeder to dig around a plant a little.

I also like the Tree Planting Shovel. There are different types. I like this one or a Wedge Point Bar for tree planting or for making a post hole.

My favorite garden tool has to be this lopper. I don't have this brand and I didn't pay that price but the length of the handles and the shape are identical.

My next most favorite has to be the pruning saw.

I think this Pole Saw will be my next purchase. There is one on sale at half price.

I like the Felco original pruner model. I think it makes removal of dead branches easier. Maybe it just fits my hand best.

These are the garden tools I like best. I like standing to work in the garden.

i like a pickaxe(mattock?) for digging through hardpan... its man vs. soil and man needs to show the soil who's boss ....

I use these tools because they fit the spaces between plants in my square foot garden better, I can use them both kneeling and standing. As I expand I'll have to work my soil in a different manner though.

Grub Hoe is my favorite and is probably one of the older farming implements still in use. Quite a few third world country's farmers still use it as their only/main form of turning soil.

when i searched on "grub hoe" the easydigging site was the first result - i had never heard of them before but they must be ok...

also the grub hoe looks like it can do some serious work - very sturdy compared to the regular model of hoe...looks good for cutting thru turf...

I had the same thought as you did wrt355…that I never heard of them before my first purchase. But it was nice ordering from them.

Yes, they are some tanks and cut thru the turf.

BTW, use their tool selector to make sure you buy the right toll for your job.
