Do you think the healthcare bill will pass when they vote Saturday?

Why vote on Saturday and not during the week?

Do you think all these shootings will be enough misdirection to get it done while we are not looking?

Did you call your representatives and say NO!?

Only Time will Tell. I think the Blue Dog Dems got the message on Tuesday.....We will find out Saturday if they are going to listen.

+1.

The first rule of politics is CYA (cover your rear), and when faced with party warm fuzzies or keeping your seat, I think the "purple state"rs will vote no.

I think that it doesn't matter how much we protest. They don't care about us until its time for reelection. They will cram this bill down our throats.

The problem they're facing is that the mid term election cycle begins soon. Had it already gone by, they'd be cocky and ignore us with impunity. Passing this bill is a certain ticket to a GOP takeover of the congress again.
Obama and his minions are making the rounds twisting arms and asking many politicians to commit political suicide to ram this crap through.

I think a lot of them are waking up to their misplaced trust in Obama and his crap agenda while finding out that MOST democrats aren't socialists...yet.

Well, I call and email my reps (and others when I get a zip code) a couple times a week I'll keep it up till it's over and I have donated what I can.My blue dog knows he is on the edge of being sent home come election so he is not going to vote for it.

Of course it will pass. Pelosie and Obama spent all night handing out BJs. I think they would not have brought it before a vote if they didn't have the votes secured. If it was voted down it would mean it was dead. They are not going to let that happen.

"Mr / Ms Congressperson vote for this I will give you your very own ambassadorship to your very own island nation set for life."

Congress person says, "You got it! Yeah! No more pesky voters to listen too! Plus I get to keep both salaries forever! Whats to loose?"

Sadly, that is the American politician of today. Did you hear yourself mentioned in that? Nope, because We the People mean nothing today.

I am not sure.

Does Health Care 'Reform' fill any of this criteria?

Will it stifle freedom?

Will it cost a ton of money?

Will it grow government power?

If so, it is a LOCK to....'pass'.

I'm sure it will pass. It will be forced through one way or the other. The DNC will offer the sacrificed Dems special bonuses or lucrative positions elsewhere for their vote. I hope I am totally wrong. I really do.

I do the same but all I get in return are pre-prepared responses telling me what a good plan the bill is. I get to deal with Congressman Ed Perlmutter (slithering Dem) and Senators Mark Udall (braindead Dem) and Michael Bennet (invisible, silent Dem). On the state level, we get to deal with Governor Bill Ritter (elitist, lacky Dem). You would think the folks of Colorado would have down home values and enjoy their freedom but we keep voting for our own demise.

It must be something about the fluoridated water. BUY A BERKEY WATER FILTER FOLKS.

I can't really believe it's going to pass as far as what it means for this country. However, somehow these snakes will makes sure it gets pushed through. Whether it makes it or not here's a thought:

Since everyone knows Obama is a narcissist, this situation is a lose-lose for the American public. If it passes, he will be emboldened to pass more of his commie-legislation. If it fails, he will want revenge and will be ****ed and further emboldened to ramrod his crap policies.

In the end, we're screwed no matter how you slice it.

I hope not. How much more of this can we take? Our children have already been bankrupted by this administration, enough is enough. I hope BHO and his bitch Pelosi go down in flames on this one.

I fear you are right. I still hold out hope, but it is probably a fool's hope.

So, how is everyone else feeling about becoming socialist? *sigh*
