Take central KS as an example... There were many family fortunes made in the 1980s thanks to a huge oil boom. As someone who grew up on a small family farm, I know the importance of cheap and readily available energy. However, we've found that virtually none of the well water is good anymore; it's either completely gone (drained into dry oil wells) or is contaminated with saltwater. Unfortunately,unless you have a shallow well of less than 50 feet or so, you don't have usable well water.
FJ, the sucking of millions of gallons of water daily x32 isn't helping..
