    Yep, that picture really is me ... the revolver is an 1858 reproduction in .44, and the rifle is a Thompson Center half-stock in .45 (they don't make them anymore).
    I'm a shooter who preps - the prepping is simply a way of life accquired by way of my farmboy upbringing. The shooting, too, really :p
    I am a gun nut. Ever since my uncle let me have a go with his .50 Pennsylvania flintlock when I was 8 years old I've been hooked. I went so far as to join the United States Navy in order to have the opportunity to work on the biggest guns in use at the time.

    I got my wish, and served as a turret train operator on the USS Missouri During the 1991 gulf war. Although I still claim that NAVY stands for Never Again Voluntneer Yourself, would not trade that experience for anything in the world. We used to claim that GM (gunner's mate) stood for 'God's men', and introduced ourselves as the 'local distributers of the wrath of god'.
