The dwelling is better, though it be small; each man is a free man at home; though he own two she-goats and a hall roofed with withies, it is still better than begging. Truer words were never spoken Kinsman.

    Hailsa & thanks.
Its small but ya know what the Havamal says:
Bú er betraþótt lítit séhalr er heima hverrþótt tvær geitreigi ok taugreptan salþat er þó betra an bœn!
Wish I could get a class in ON/Icelandic, its a slow go learning the lingo from the Havamal & its myriad tranlations. The Asatru part came naturally.

I like them all, but I lean toward the Norse style. No surprise there, huh?
The one I use the most is a cheap Cold Steel Norse hawk with a full length handle, effectively making it a light axe. It's still light enough for throwing.
The ulu shaped head is useful in so very many ways. It'll slice & dice meat & veg, pare leather into cordage, and you can rough awl with the 'horns'. The poll is good for cracking bones (for the marrow) and nuts. The handle makes a good pestle.
CS DVD's & the Hurstwic site offer instruction for axe fighting. Visit the http://www.kultofathena.com site too. :)
    Axes are just so utilitarian.
