    Hi JT,
I'm thinking a bit farther south. I lived in Spokane and have like-minded friends in NE WA and N Idaho. I love the Methow but, too many Seattle libs there now. We are actually putting together a plan to move to East Wenatchee. Getting over the mountains is the big thing. Where I live now I would be totally screwed unless I had a boat available, which I don't.

wrapping things up out here in my current AO & returning CONUS. We are actively looking for & at property up in or around the Northern Border of the PNW & from your pictures it looks like you have on site experience with the weather in that region as well as any possible issues which we should take into consideration. Thank you for accepting my friend request, I hope you don't mind if I pick your brain on a few things here & there as things go along!

    i am jealous.lol.sounds wonderful where u live.
oh so far we have about killed ourselves just trying to clear the land n put up cabins.
we cant wait to live out there cause we know so much will get done.its an extreme land.cheap.trees are shallow rooted and fall over and those can get u.if those dont.the heavy snow load can crush in the roof of your cars and mobile home.if u plant.theres one month of maybe no frost and if u plant your garden.voles, mice, skunks and more are probably gonna get whatever u plant.i want to plant an orchard of seaberrys.if they just survive the first year...they will be ok.i feel like sleeping by them in the meadow so nothing eats them.lol.i am going to look more at your place and check out more.thank u wasniper.

Thanks for the good comment and I guess you mean I have good pics in my snow album which they are interesting anyway. Hope you have seen some of my mega pic threads. Here is a post that gives about all of the pic threads in case you want to look. The post with most of my links to most of my pics. > http://www.survivalistboards.com/showthread.php?t=84562&page=18=#353

And I looked at your album also and I really like it. Looks like you use what you have available and do what you need to do. That is my philosophy even if what I build is not tooo fancy or society approved. I also like your solar panels. I will also have a greenhouse as part of my new cabin which will be made of beetle killed pine logs and some lumber.
I will use 2 large sliding glass doors for 2 large picture windows in the new cabin. Well all for now and maybe see you around although after mid June I am not on the net and back up on my mtn paradise - retreat until about Nov.
