Hey man, just wondering about CB radios. Was thinking of getting one for the group to talk to others in the local area. Do you have one?

Many people dont understand the issue of fallout from nuke plants. After the problems Japan had I would think people would start asking more public questions than they are about our own plants. If power cant be supplied to the plants wouldnt they all eventually go into a meltdown without the cooling towers working? And if they do, how many plants do we have in the tri-state area?

About the same area, main issues with OPSEC is the usual. Fencing, physical barriers, ect. Where working as a group with all these issues in turn, financing as with everyone right now is tight. Craigeslist is a good place to look for supplies on the cheap, but as more and more folks get to prepping it gets harder to find them.

Without getting too specific, not sure how you view OPSEC, where is your retreat? Im actually outside town about 12 miles, Dorcas if youre from around here. What kind of issues are you running into?

Living in Crestview as well. Like I said a few others and me have been able to put up a group of sorts. The prepping has been slow going, with work shedules and all. Just trying to put a garden together at our retreat is going to be a task and a half. Got weapons covered (could always have more ammo) and the individual family food seems good for a 3-5 month hold out but everything else needs work. Lots of valuable info on here though, couldnt believe how populated the forum is!

LOL Cres-tucky, I almost put that for my location, I even get strange looks in town when I say that. Not much going on, I think youre the first Ive met from here, but there are a few others from Milton and Pensacola, plus one or two around Bonifay.

Good to see that people around here are starting to open their eyes. Maybe our local outlook wont be so bleak after all.
