I am in the south west corner of the state. I grew up in Rhinelander at the north end of the river and now I am again living next to the river but at the south end. I am disabled to so long range shooting is a pain for me, literally but Its the only physical sport I can really do anymore so I do it whenever I can. As for tips I have a post in the handgun section on it if you can find it that will give you a good start. The secret is not letting the distance intimidate you, all the fundamentals apply, grip, breath control, front sight focus and squeeze that trigger. After that its spotting where your shots landed and either adjust your sights or adjust the point of your aim. The hard part is screwing up the courage to start doing it so I like to start people out with the 22. 100 yards or 200 yards, it doesn't make a lick of difference. You keep your eyes on the front sight and the groups will take care of themselves. It isn't any physical trick its 90% mental.
