    Doc,

Could you fill me on about citizen soldier? Is it only for active/former military? While I never had the opportunity to serve - broke my neck when I was 20 - I like affiliating myself with true patriots.

    Doc,

We have had a few exchanges in the past, so I thought to send a friend request.

I'm of the opinion that BRAC (as told to me by several people while at Ft. Sam) actually greatly benefited the military medical community. A very positive unintended benefit. I could never fathom as to why the government would ever want to split up differing medical service branches (unless, of course they were radically different). I'm a basic Combat Medic, I believe 91B back in your day. It's now classified as 68W (I'm 68W10, the 10 designating the most of specialties, I'm simply MOS Q'd). Thank you for your sacrifice and service, you've done a helluva lot more than I have. Salud.

Lol, marrying a Navy girl. Guy in my Guard unit was aviation ordinance on the Nimitz in the 90's. He's got some crazy stories. What were the noticeable differences between training at Ft. Sam vs. San Diego (I believe I read that Corpsman Rate School was at Great Lakes)?
