I recently had occasion to call my health insurance carrier for a major screw up that was going to cost me several thousand dollars. The representative was accessing my information and account and it was taking a little time to load on his screen. He blurted out, "I just want to thank you for all you have done!" This caught me off guard. I replied,"That covers a lot of territory." He elaborated, "You were a member of the Pennsylvania State Police for 25 years right?" "Yes." "And you were a criminal investigator for 13 of those years, right?" "Yes, but ....". He finished, "Every time I get one of you on the line and you served in the military or the police, I always tell you how much I appreciate what you did." I was floored. Never expected that.

So, I just want to tell you..thank you for everything you did. If you are anything like me......I have memories of guys who never made it to retirement and I am grateful for the peace and solitude I now enjoy.

Have fun with those irrigation pumps. Are they for hay meadows, or crops? I always tried to stay away from those things. Too damn close to farming and I was scared it might lead to career in dairy farming. Haha

I would like to thank you for your service, both military and as a civilian. It's sad that young men should suffer the horrors of war but it is those things that have formed my life and have given me the motivation to create a safe and happy life for those I love, as have you, I'm sure. There is NO greater sacrifice and you can stand tall knowing you are and were a protector of family, friends, and hell even strangers. Sleep well knowing you are one of the most noble. "The protector". And I would like to ensure you, that there are more still standing that post, ensuring the safety of all, American or not. It's just something that has to be done and you my friend have done it. Good luck with your health. Brian
