i couldnt think of a better front door than a bank vault lol. When i talk about post SHTF stuff i dont mean little apartment doors (anyone can bust into those) im going for the more hardcore locks ( that will be on military or secured areas) be hard to tear them open unless you know how to do it our way ha.

But that is one epic profile picture and thank you so much for be friending me i really appreciate it. gotta go to work talk to you later.

bet those electronic lockpicks are expensive and heavy. Was walking in the bank the other day and just was staring at the vault. I wonder if they make the vault first then the bank or vice versa. Tell me lockpicking / smithing wont be one of the most useful things to know. maybe we should make a thread on it.

i know what you mean lol. Where is your super pick gun that does this in ten seconds? ..sad how much of a "Me" generation we are today.

Whats the hardest lock youve come up against? i had one of those number locks with no keyhole.. took me a few days to get the combo.

im not to bad at raking ..with improvised tools. But you can only do so much with homemade implements. Thanks for the links! I tried to get a good kit before but it turned out to be for car doors only. Im sure smiths get a pretty penny dont they? heh

well its a hobby of mine. i would always fiddle around at my last job with a paper clip and a push pin and would unlock and lock these little drawers on our work desks.

Looking to get back into it , add one more SHTF and everyday skill.

In your opinion where is the best and Cheapest place to get a standard lockpick kit?

I really thought about becoming a locksmith ..until i got to wafer locks and just gave up lol, random fact one of the king louis of france had a big thing for locks haha.
