Hello, gentlemen, I and my partner live in the river valley. We are working on more and more survival things. Already do own growing and harvesting from mother nature. Would like to talk to others from around here.

Hey brother, just coming back home for the holidays, maybe we can link up and drink a beer. Hey and if you find anyone else from our neck of the woods invite them to the Adirondack group here so we can get some discussions going. Be safe.

Thanks. I took my moose with a cast lead 45-70 load over 3031 last fall :)
For the 308, I'm tyaking a hard look at 25 grains of Alliant's 2400. With 25 grains of powder I get over a hundred more cartrdiges loaded per pound of powder. I just can't get past the economics of it.... I have never loaded BL-C, but I might just give it a try....

Mike let me know how that turns out with the .308, I actually started at 44 gr. of BL-C(2) and worked my way up. 3031 is a bit fast for the .308 but works great in the 45-70.
I'm currently working on the .357 and have found 6.3 gr. of unique gives me about 900 fps. which is a sweet load for the plated bullets such as berrys or raineers.
    Pete
