Welcome home, guys. It was my honor to serve with some of the finest people in the world while in the military. I know of no other people that I would rather call brothers than the American fighting man. None of us were perfect but we did our best with what we had.

Welcome home, urban!!! Glad you're back. How are they doing? I get to visit with some of the guys at the various reunions each year. If you think that they're good now, and they are, you should have been with them in Viet Nam!! Guys from back then are STILL amazed that I was with the 173D in those days.

Okay, Grandma. Thanks. All I want to do is poke fun at certain people and help other people out when I can. If I'm lucky, I either get to help somebody or bring a smile to somebody's face. What more could a guy ask to do?

Thanks much, Celt. It was my honor to serve with some of the finest guys I could and would ever know. I can remember 3 different times 7 or 8 of us would hold a hilltop or perimeter against dozens and dozens of enemy troops and none of us flinched. Nobody thought about trying to run away. Nobody whined. We just stood firm next to each other. Those were wild days in my life but ones that I will never forget because of the guys who were with me.

Kroenen117, I just tell you what I know and learned from combat. I know that combat is not a constant thing but I also know that every day you have to make improvements in your situation if you are to survive. I had to learn from other people or learn it the hard way. If I can relate what I already know in an effective manner, maybe it will help somebody else out later on. I hope it does.
