    Hi ForestBeekeeper,

Thank you for your reply. I've never heard of chelifers (book-scorpions) myself until I accidentally stumbled upon a video on youtube, a study from the German students showing the chelifers eating the varroa mites. Apparently Germany and New Zealand have done quite a bit of research on this subject for some time now, while chelifers are still unknown in the US.

    Hey, FBK.

I hope things are going well for you and your wife this summer.

I'm in the final planning phase for the new solar-electric system I want to build this year. I've been getting quotes and technical advice from several companies. The two strongest contenders at this point are altEstore and Wholesale Solar.

I think you've dealt with Wholesale Solar quite a bit - yes?

Jeremy Allen of Wholesale Solar has been making a big point of telling me how great their after-sale tech support is. Is their after-sale tech support really good, in your opinion?

    Thanks.

In the folly of my youth I was a leftist, and I would've supported the feminist. I didn't understand what it really was though.I was destroyed in my 20s by a divorce,I was a good father and husband and the woman was very wicked, this weighed on me very heavily financially, emotionally, and spiritually. I didn't understand why things happen the way they did at the time. It was all of that, that lead me down the rabbit hole to get red pilled and study up on history and politics. My worldview and political philosophies experienced a sea change. Feminism is a cancer, and it is no coincidence that it was inflicted on Western civilization. It's social engineering and directly rebels against natural law, whether you believe that God created it to be that way or you believe that is the cold logic of Darwinian forces, or both, rebelling against nature yields the same result, destruction.

Just wanted to check in with you, my Maine prepper friend to the south.

All winter I worked like crazy to put together some money for work on the new house this spring. I did have some modest success with this effort, though of course I could use a lot more money. I know you know how this goes.

But now spring has arrived in Aroostook County!

First on my list of spring tasks is the pruning of one of my apple trees. I can get to it now without snowshoes, and I want to get it pruned while it's still dormant.

Next I'll be ordering three more windows for the new house, along with some cabling for my first tiny solar-electric setup.

Major work will begin on the exterior of the house, weather permitting. A hired crew will be doing this work while I myself poke around insulating and closing off a corner of my basement; this will end up being my canning room/utility room/laundry room.

Write back and let me know what you and your wife are up to!

    Hi, FBK.

Just thought I'd touch base to tell you I've been packing down the snow on my driveway by driving over it repeatedly with my Jeep, as you suggested in one of your posts a few weeks ago. At some point (when we get a big snowstorm), serious snow pushing or blowing will need to be done, but this is working out well for now.

Such a simple idea, and so useful and practical!

How are things in your neck of the Maine woods?

No worries, my friend. :) Very interesting thread with lots of interesting side chutes... at least to me. Hope others are enjoying it, too.
