    Al,

May I ask you a question regarding Mausers? I have a 1936 S/147 in beautiful condition and ALL matching numbers...but no stock!

My question: What are my choices in stocks to make a shooter? I'm looking at models with the extra wood hand guard that extends rearward of the rear sights such as the Czech BRNO VZ24, Yugo M48 or even the Yugo M24. Will my action/barrel fit into these stocks in addition to the K98 stocks?

Thanks Al...I read a lot here on the forum but couldn't find any info on this particular subject here.

1SG Jack Bull is exactly who he was. I had heard that he had gotten cross ways with some of higher management in BDM once it went to Louisiana and came back to Arkansas. I bought some tires at the Ft. Smith, AR SEARS around early 2007 and he was the one that took my order and had his guys put the tires on.

Hearing the name BDM brings back very old memories. I can remember a part-time Arkansas Army National Guard soldier named Jack that was over the controllers while at Ft Chaffee. I will probably remember his last name later. He had served in the USMC before the ARNG. The last I heard of him he was working at Sears in Ft. Smith, AR.

I can remember when JRTC was at Ft. Chaffee, AR around the late 80's. I believe that the contractor then was BDM. We had National Guard soldiers working as contractors there.

It's still a cool looking photo. I wish I could get a C96, those things are great to shoot with!
