Military M35A2 Deuce&a half

Looking for: This is a titled 1972 AMC M35A2 Deuce used by the military as a troop carrier. The rear bed has fold down fiberglass seats front to back, when not in use retract to give you an unobstructed full bed. The Truck has a multifuel 465ci. diesel, that will run on any flamable liquid, hence multi-fuel. It has a sychronised five speed stick transmission tied to a high-low transfer case. Hi for road, low of course for off road. Air activated front axle engagement for a total of ten wheels/tires under power on demand. The body is in very good condition and has the much desired 'hard-top' along with the much wanted front winch. The windshield windows fold out from the top in safari fashion as well as with the windows closed, the windshield folds flat on the hood for 'open' driving The fuel capacity is fifty gallons which will give you aproximatly 9-10 mpg, or easily 250 miles per tank. All the glass is good along with the window regulators. It has been serviced recently (March 09)with an oil and filter's change Oil is 22 quart capacity, since then mabe 2 hours or less of driving. In an event where travel through destroyed surroundings this truck would excell as it is designed for offroad. It will drive through underwater conditions, easily 5 foot depth. It will carry far more than the two and a half tons it was designed for in an emergency situation. Besides that it is a very fun and usefull TOY that will hold its value. they're not going down, if anything up. Parts are readily available and are fairly cheap. as cheap or cheaper than any domestic car or truck of its age or newer. It may be one of the less costly survival items needed if disaster occurs, God forbid... nevertheless it may mean the difference. KEEP IN MIND: these were designed so that a fresh out of school draftee know-nothing could efficently maintain the unit. they are SO SIMPLE, with the slightest effort a pure novice could perform maintenance in all likleyhood within an hours time....................no exageration! WHAT does one DRIVE LIKE??? Like a big pick up truck. It shifts easily up and down, a five speed stick shift w/foot clutch, the front axle is 'on the fly' dash switch-lever engaged, all operating instructions and capasities, shifting, speeds in hi or low, fuels to be burned, and weights on plates rivited to the dash in eye's view. It is not difficult to steer even being non-power steering. The top can be removed by two individuals within 20-30 minuates or less, and is not difficult to do, or replace, there by affording open air driving. Remember this designed with simplicity paramount !!!
